Property 'is safe investment'

The stabilisation of the economy and housing market has made
property a safe investment opportunity, according to a lettings
expert.
Director of LandlordZONE.co.uk Tom Entwistle has suggested that
while other areas of investment seem to be fairly unpredictable,
housing has shown signs of stability, encouraging more people to
buy property.
He said: "Low interest rates on savings and volatile performances
of investments, pensions and the stock markets means that UK
housing looks a relatively safe investment."
Mr Entwistle's comments come after a survey from Paragon Mortgages
revealed that 21 per cent of landlords plan to purchase property
during the third quarter of 2010, an increase on the 11 per cent
who stated they would at the beginning of the year.
The National Landlords Association also announced that landlord
optimism was at its highest since 2007 in its most-recent
Landlords' Optimism Index.
It also revealed that 57 per cent of landlords rate their overall
prospects for their lettings investments to be good or very good
over the next three months.
